Booking Policies

Thank you for your interest in booking Surya Sardonicus for live performance, studio recording, or music education. These policies are intended to keep expectations clear and make the booking process smooth for everyone.

Booking Confirmation

A booking is not confirmed until the date, time, location, service details, and payment terms have been agreed to in writing. For some bookings, a deposit may be required to reserve the date.

Written confirmation may include email, text, booking form submission, or another mutually agreed form of communication.

Live Performance Bookings

Live performance rates depend on the event type, location, length of performance, travel requirements, equipment needs, and whether sound production is included.

Unless otherwise agreed, the client is responsible for providing a safe and appropriate performance area, access to reliable power, reasonable load-in/load-out access, and any event-specific details needed in advance.

Outdoor events must include a weather-safe performance area. Instruments and audio equipment cannot be exposed to rain, unsafe moisture, direct harsh weather, or unsafe temperatures.

Studio Recording Bookings

Studio recording services may include drum tracking, session musician work, live recording, engineering, editing, mixing, or related services, depending on the agreement.

Project scope, deliverables, rates, revisions, turnaround times, and file delivery format should be agreed upon before work begins. Mixing, mastering, editing, or revisions are not included unless specifically stated.

Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due according to the terms discussed before the session or project begins.

Music Education Bookings

Music lessons, coaching, workshops, and educational sessions are scheduled by appointment.

Students are responsible for attending on time, practicing between sessions, and communicating scheduling needs in advance. Progress depends on each student’s consistency, practice, goals, and participation.

For students under 18, a parent or guardian may be required to coordinate scheduling, payment, and lesson expectations.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Please provide as much notice as possible for cancellations or rescheduling requests.

Cancellations, late cancellations, missed appointments, or event cancellations may be subject to payment depending on the type of booking, the amount of notice given, preparation already completed, travel arranged, or time reserved.

Specific cancellation terms may vary by booking and should be confirmed in writing.

Deposits and Payments

Some bookings may require a deposit to reserve the date or begin work. Deposits may be non-refundable depending on the nature of the booking and the amount of preparation involved.

Payment methods, due dates, and refund terms should be confirmed before the booking is finalized.

Travel and Equipment

Travel, lodging, parking, tolls, equipment rental, additional sound support, or other production needs may affect the final rate.

If sound equipment, microphones, PA, monitors, or recording equipment are needed, those details should be discussed before the booking is confirmed.

Recording, Photos, and Video

Permission to record, photograph, film, or livestream a performance or session should be discussed in advance.

Portfolio use, promotional use, commercial release, credits, and ownership of recordings should be agreed upon clearly before publication or distribution.

Creative Rights and Usage

Music, recordings, educational materials, arrangements, exercises, written materials, videos, and other creative work remain the property of their respective owners unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Session musician work, recording rights, licensing, credits, and commercial usage should be clarified before the project begins.
